In order to provide strong expertise across all aspects of transactional work, the corporate department works closely with our employment and commercial property departments. We also have strong, well-established links with major banks, accountants and corporate finance advisers. We consider this to be an essential ingredient in providing our clients with an all-round service.

Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Disposals

Our team has many years of experience in buying and selling businesses, and always seeks to provide a practical and highly commercial approach to the deal in hand. Above all else, our excellence lies in our ability to successfully negotiate complex provisions of the sale and purchase agreement, always with the best interests of our clients at the forefront of what we do.

Our employment specialists work closely with the corporate team to take care of all employment aspects of a transaction. This often includes consideration of TUPE, advice on terminations/dismissals and the preparation of appropriate service agreements for the period after the completion of a business sale or acquisition.

MBOs and MBIs

We are well placed to meet the challenges of complex management buy-outs and buy-ins, having handled a wide range of such deals over the years.

We are familiar with the issues which arise both during and after these deals, in what can often be a challenging time for management teams. We continue to advise and assist during the post completion ‘bedding in’ period to ensure a smooth transition for the good of the business as a whole.
